If we think of our lives as a book, we each have many chapters that unfold over time, and the ending is never fully known or realized until it happens. Each chapter can bring new beginnings and promises – as well as challenges and trials – and the chapters may emerge in an unexpected order along the way.

As women move into midlife and beyond, their sense of themselves and who they are becoming will transform their values as they face change in various areas of their lives. Family life and friendships evolve; work responsibilities shift; interest in creative outlets morph; bodies continue to age; health conditions fluctuate; and consequently, spiritual practices and their relationship with God may be altered by the culmination of dynamic life experiences. It is not uncommon to feel unsettled as uncertainty surrounds the mysteries that are yet to unfold in the chapters still to come.

In this workshop, we invite women to explore their identities as they reflect on their lives thus far and prompt them to begin uncovering the underlying hopes and desires that will help guide and develop the narrative of their chapters that remain. Throughout the day, group discussions, opportunities for sharing, art & creative activities, along with reading & writing exercises, will gently provoke thoughts of understanding, gratitude, and appreciation for every chapter in their book – past, present, and future.
