Nicki Verploegen, Ph.D.

Dr. Nicki Verploegen is Co-Founder of TATENDA International, a nonprofit which cares for caregivers worldwide through retreats and pastoral visits. Originally from Montana, Nicki grew up under the Big Sky and has allowed her passion for the world to carry her to over 50 countries .
She has a Ph.D. in spirituality and served for eight years as Director of Spiritual and Ministerial Development at Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge, MA. She trained students in spiritual direction at the University of Mount Saint Joseph.
Her books on spirituality through Wipf and Stock include Planning and Implementing Retreats: A Parish Handbook., Organic Spirituality: A Sixfold Path for Contemplative Living, Meditations With Merton, and From Monks to Missioners.
