Br. Michael Moran, C.P.
Br. Michael Moran professed his vows as a Passionist Brother in 1974. Since then, he has spent much time in private study developing his artistic talents. Michael paints in oils and acrylics and draws in pencil, pen and ink, and silverpoint. One of his specialties is the painting of icons, translating this ancient art form of the Eastern Christian Churches into contemporary terms.
He is an Elected Member of the West Hartford Art League. His works have been exhibited since 1985 in galleries and museums, largely in Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Michael currently lives at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center in West Hartford, CT.
