What Alice in Wonderland Can Teach Us About the Spiritual Journey

Using the story Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, this guided retreat will present three qualities experienced by Alice and often mirrored in the spiritual journey: a willingness to be messy, the gift of curiosity, and the sheer grace of courage. Through input, story-telling, personal reflection, and sharing, we will journey with Alice as she leaves her comfortable, secure place on the riverbank and tumbles down a rabbit hole into new realities. Frequently, our secure places no longer match the lived reality of our lives. Like Alice, we question and struggle with what is happening within us. Often we look outside of ourselves for solutions when, many times, the answer lies in our own hearts.
