The Sacred Bridge: The Work — Retirement Continuum

Our work in the world is a spiritual endeavor whether realized or not. Retirement from that work is less a distinct milestone than it is a rich, evolving journey beyond the vocation that has shaped our identity to a new stage that reshapes it. Where does our soul live in our labor? And how does our soul endure when we step away from a lifetime commitment to those labors?

Through guided reflection, conversation, and creative exercises, this workshop invites participants to examine both the practical and spiritual dimensions of this important transition. We’ll consider what it means for one’s identity, purpose, relationships, and spiritual life as we readjust our routines once organized by required duties and responsibilities on the job, to newfound responsibilities that fulfil us in this next chapter of our lives. Whether working or retired, on this day, we will together create and hold a space of honesty, discovery, and renewal.
