Aging – A Privilege and A Challenge with Betty Hill
With Betty Hill Crowson
September 27 - 30, 2024
There are many circumstances capable of making a woman aware of the aging process: empty nest syndrome, menopause, the loss of parents, retirement, the death of friends and spouses, the onset of aches and pains and physical limitations, and an increased sensitivity. Living in a culture that values youth, success, and physicality, we are continually challenged to find new ways of feeling relevant in changed circumstances. When we lose various external means of defining who and what we are, we can find ourselves in an identity crisis: Who am I now?
This three-day retreat for women of all ages and stages provides the means for us to begin answering that question. Through presentations, sharing, rituals, and music, a process unfolds to lead participants into a more profound acceptance of what is and a greater compassion for self and others. We are given practical as well as spiritual tools to help us redefine our perception of growing older, deepen our spiritual understanding and connection, and come to understand that we always have more to offer and to enjoy. Cost is $450 per person.
